Pursuit of Life!!!

“I dream of a company with whom I wish I could sleep out at the terrace watching the stars while the whole world sleeps beneath us”.

Nothing can be more soothing to the ear than the very sound of life. My all time favourite destination would be my life not just because of the reason that who I’m today but because of the experience I gained and the people I met on this journey. Memories are the strongest survivors; it can be alive even in the closed heart and mind. When god created humans he did the packaging with bundles of emotions. And as emotions is a baggage of expectations, every feeling hold a special value. It’s just how well you present and is the person worth it on whom you plan to invest. Else it just ends up with disappointment and regret. I recently met a person and when she shared her struggle I felt a painful tightening in the chest as if I was being squeezed by the ugly memory of the past.

Life has its unique style of treating you sometimes it simply puts you off on a back seat window to gaze the life around you. This girl came to this country few years back with her bag full of dreams but suddenly six months later she found herself in the hospital around the doctors performing all kinds of test. She was asked to provide the name and number of a family member who currently reside in America. Fortunately she had one of her relative which was called immediately and was informed that she has stomach cancer third stage (stage 3B) which had spread from ovaries up to some gland called peritoneum (lining of the abdominal cavity). She has been very week throughout and on to it now she had to go through rigorous chemotherapy. Fighting with your loved ones is any day better than their silence. Believe me there’s no worst experience of pain then watching your kid dying in front of your eyes every day. They are the ones who carry us in their arms for years. Go through all the embarrassment, torture, and sacrifice.

Death is just a final destiny of every human life which is inevitable and need to be faced by one and all but then why are we scared? Sometimes people die due to silliest reasons like slipping in the bathroom can prove fatal or even a road accident where you need not even be involved to get killed. Then why are we so scared just of the feeling of getting hurt. But if we all reflect to our life aren’t we already hurting ourselves by not doing what we actually want in life by living a life for people around you when you don’t even want to be a part of it, haven’t we already killed ourselves. We die every moment we procrastinate our dreams; the moment we compromise in our life; the constant struggle of adjustment in a relation where no emotion is alive and people live with them under the same roof but simply with the memories of past. So in a true sense we are surrounded with all dead people who claim to be alive.

She often questioned herself whether she would ever live a normal life; will she be able to meet her friends. After two months of treatment one day while she was waiting for the doctor in the hallway she looked outside the window and watched the sunset it felt as if the earth was being painted every couple of minutes in different shades. Tic-Tac’s her heart jumped at the sound. She turned around to see the boy holding out a container of orange Tic-Tac’s, waiting for her response. The girl replied try to think straight “Thanks” she hold out her hand and he drops a couple in the palm.
The girl asked “Does this line usually work?”
The boy replied “No, actually, it normally has the opposite effect” he smiles.
Leaning back the boy asked how long you have been here
Girl responded I guess you have an experience on the matter.
The boy replied just three years worth, the boy responded as if it’s no big deal.
The boy asked “what are you waiting for?”
The girl replied my blood test results doctors are going to tell me if I’ll live until I’m old or if I’m going to die in three months.
Boy asked so did you start the bucket list
Girl replied it’s the last thing I expected to hear.
Then suddenly he said then you go out on a date with me it’s half question and half suggestion. The girls was confused she said “why would you want that”
Boy replied “why wouldn’t I?”
Girl said “because I might be dead in three months. Doesn’t that matter?”
Boy shakes his head and actually smiles and says “I don’t care, “his voice slightly croaking.
Girl said “you must care. What if I die?”
Boy immediately responded then I’ll spend every day with you until you do. I’ve never met anyone like you, and I feel if I don’t see more of you, that I’ll be missing something. Give me a chance”
There’s only one word she could possibly give him “Yes”

She was no longer scared of death. She thought “If I die or don’t die, it’ll all end the same way, but at least I know someone will give me a chance either way”. She was not afraid as she was no longer alone.
If you are scared of getting wet you can never enjoy the rain to enjoy life at times you need to take risk how can you feel fast wind when you don’t dare to ride a fast bike. It just adds the wings of freedom a sense of independence. A dog never measures you on the scale of your looks and money. They don’t care whether you are smart or dull, clever or dumb, beautiful or ugly. Give him your heart and he’ll give you his. Humans have lost the ability to win heart as they are so engrossed in achieving their targets. Has any person in your life made you feel rare, pure, extra ordinary and special?
“Every trade has an expiration tag so is love so never blame a person for the way he treated you as you opted for the pain in exchange of your heart”.

NRI marriages and Rape/Sex Trafficking

NRI Marriages:

America is a country of dreams and the land of opportunities. There was a time when people would like to pay any cost to be here as it eventually turned into a status symbol. At one point of time I felt as if this would be one of the mandatory fields in the matrimonial sites. As it’s important for a girl to be slim and fair I think it became a necessity for a guy to have a US visa stamp on his passport. Marriage gives a feeling of security and a hope of being loved and cared by someone. Although it’s really sad the way feelings are brutalized these days. I would like to educate the parents and guardians of our country that marrying their daughter to a guy who holds a visa is really not a great deal for their daughter’s happiness. Getting an identity and respect is not an easy ride in a strange country. Every girl is not fortunate enough to get a supportive family and friends. Ever since I have got associated to this cause I have been trying my best to reach out to different sources to find a solution and get them accepted by our society. Due to the strange laws of the country you only get to be with our partner as a dependent and the role or responsibility we play is to take care of their house, do the laundry, dishes, groceries etc… Most of them are educated and were working before the marriage and if you would like to know why they got married, it was only because they are assured that they would continue doing the same. But unfortunately they are here just to facilitate their partner’s needs and once they feel it’s time for a change they are served with a piece of paper which states the end of the relationship. And surprisingly the strange laws of the country are never straight and easy. They want to come back and live a normal life but the probability of sarcastic remarks by our society and negligence just heap up the pain due to which they lose the confidence and morale. Even an educated, confident and pretty independent girl would not be able to take this storm and get carried away.

Rape/Sex Trafficking:
I read shocking news on all the major online news channels every day that a son-in-law raped his mother-in law. A school principal raped a 6 grade/class girl. A father has raped his daughter. All the relations I mentioned are termed to be the most safe and respectful. If we are not safe in the hands of our creators then who do we look forward to? Recently there was news that the reason of such incidents is the reveling dresses which are worn by the girls today but what about the Gurgaon incident where a woman was raped who was 7 months pregnant. What did the patient do in the hospital that a ward boy is forced to quench his thirst at that moment where a person is struggling for her life and death. Hats off to a country where the girls are raped and then if the cops take an action they are either transferred or terminated.

Is it true that even after 64 yrs. 9 months and 27 days of our country’s independence we are still morons and have no sense of respect and gratitude towards the creators of our life? A country where female god is worshiped in various forms, yet the women (wife, daughter, sister, mother etc…) is treated so brutally.

On behalf of all the women I would like to ask is our identity confined only around the four walls of the bedroom.

For you...

"Sometimes love is for a moment, sometimes love is for a lifetime. Sometimes a moment is a lifetime."

I feel so delighted about this reunion and treasure every moment spent with you. Sometimes the distance was long and sometimes it seemed like two bodies one soul. I have seen a kid while you dance and a child when you hold me tight. I see a man who asks me to do things right and a hero who stands beside with poise. You love to see me when I’m composed and enjoyed the most when I behave immature. Your lips speak softly and sweetly in my ears and your touch felt angelic. I get lost in your magic and my heart beats heavily within your chest. I think of you each morning and dream of you each night. I think of your arms being around me for which I cannot express my delightYour gentle brush of fingers sends shivers down my spine. You greet me with a smile and leave me with a kiss. When my loneliness gets me down and I’m so very blue. The way you see my soul and do exactly what I look in you. The moment you come close to me, my beauty starts to bloom and like a pretty butterfly I come out of my cocoon. I long for your arms to have wrapped around me and live to kiss your lips. You have brightened my dark skies and filled my days and nights with stars, hopes, and cascading dreams. The world looks beautiful with your eyes through mine.

To be thinking of a time when you’d no longer be there is not acceptable to me because I want you in my life always and forever. I didn't know I could love anyone as much as I love you but I know you have arrived; as my heart skips a beat when you walk up to my side. If there were no tomorrow I would tell you: I’ll always cherish your love above all, along with your laughter, love, fun and passion. I vow to love you infinitely, without boundaries, and beyond time. I hope this kind of magic stays forever between US…

Relations an easy ride!!!

The beauty of life walks hand in hand; when you strike the right code of love. The melodious tunes come with a long span of learning and patience. Breaking and betraying is not the solution to mend the relationship. When the water overflows to the brim it causes great damage to the people living around. When life is fury and full of grief’s, it has an urge to gleam with precious happiness, all we need to reach out ourselves to our loved ones putting rest to our excessive pride and ego which cause all the destruction's. As the years of life roll by, we eventually realize that carrying the baggage of these obstructions were valueless and had no proper reason or purpose to be carried on; as the value of happiness was untouched.

To win a heart without making an effort all you need is faith and tolerance as love is an endearing quality. Huge expectations and impractical hopes stain the purity of relationship. The act of trust is the binding glue of relationships. According to me the best expression of gratitude to him was my decision of growing old with him. At one point of time nothing sounded exciting then being in a relation with him, those were the exclusive moments of my life. Manifesting ignorance was his second nature accompanying hurting the feeling repeatedly. Even a single expression of love did his magic loosing me and surrendering my soul. There are people who often forget how someone eases their pain in the most sensitive and difficult moments. Very often I felt as if I’m meant to do my duties and in returns abiding to the status of relationship is the only favor he is obliged too.

We tend to be polite even to person who are nowhere associated to us, then why don’t we take a conscious effort to appreciate and acknowledge the people who are such an integral part of our life. Life has always been more than kind enough to give us several opportunities to craft ourselves from time to time. When the situation goes out of control or isn’t in our favor we forget that we are the true owner who drove the life to this track due to which we see those disastrous moments. It’s human to get hurt when the efforts are not appreciated or recognized.

Love has always been a passionate ingredient for me with the absence of ego and arrogance. It was difficult to live but it feels good to taste success although it seemed to be a very long journey. I have remitted the person long back but certain incidents make you nostalgic. Even after trying my best to evade those saddening thoughts it keeps haunting. I think I was able to achieve what I aimed because I was liege to my dreams. Irrespective of all what happened between us it’s you who has made me realized my inner strength. I’ll be always grateful to you for what I’m today. Don’t change the basic appetite of life; our actions are the face of our emotions and life. I still believe that it is and it will be the best relationship I ever had in my life.

Relations an easy ride!!!

What makes relations imperative? I find it so elusive to get the answer. Why are we sabotaging the relations these days? Is it so easy to deal with emotions?

Five point someone vs 3 Idiots

With due respect to Mr. Hirani and Mr. Chopra I would like to take an opportunity to appreciate their great work for “3Idiots”, including direction, production and screenplay. I have liked all their previous works and I have high regards for their crafts. I was disappointed during the whole controversy. “Five point someone” is one of my favorite books. I strongly believe the foundation of movie is “Five point someone”. Here are my pointers why 75% of movie is from the book. I am making myself very clear that I am not writing on someone’s behalf. The book is already appreciated for its great writing and hence begged these awards:

• Society Young Achiever's Award (2004)
• The Publisher's Recognition Award (2005)

Here are my pointers why “Five point someone” has contributed 75% towards the story line of “3 Idiots”

1. The core of movie has been taken from the book which is all about the academics, the professors, campus life and the rat race to get better grades.
2. In the machines class Ryan tried to give similar definition of machines due to which the professor got irritated.
3. The Introduction speech of Professor Viru Sahastrabuddhe-Virus is exactly the same which in the book was made by Professor Dubey during his first interaction class.
4. In the movie Joy Lobo designs the flying car and Professor Viru Sahastrabuddhe-Virus rejects it, in the book Ryan’s lubricant project got rejected by Professor Cherian.
5. Ryan concludes that the IIT system is unfair because:
a) It suppresses talent and individual spirit.
b) It extracts the best years of one’s life from the country’s brightest minds.
c) It judges students with a draconian GPA system that destroys relationships.
d) The professors don’t care for the students.
e) IITs have hardly contributed to the country.
(This is what Rancho tried to explain Raju (Alok the character of the book) in the bathroom.
6. This is exactly what Rancho told Professor Viru Sahastrabuddhe-Virus on academic system. In the book Read Ryan’s remarks, “You know guys, this whole IIT system is sick. Because, tell me, how many great engineers or scientists have come out of IIT? I mean that is supposed to be the best college in India, the best technology institute for a country of a billion. But has IIT ever invented anything? Or made any technical contribution to India? Over thirty years of IITs, yet, all it does is train some bring kids to work in multinationals. I mean look at MIT in the USA… What is wrong in the system…This system of relative grading and overburdening the students? I mean it kills the best fun years of your life. But it kills something else. Where is the room for original though? Where is the time for creativity? It is not fair.”
7. Ryan, clearly, is the hero of book.(Similarly Rancho was the hero of movie)
8. Of the three, the story was narrated in first person by Hari (In the movie it was Farhan )
9. Ryan Oberoi the handsome dude, though full of creativity, wealth, style and ideas (This is how Rancho’s character has being portrait in the movie with little twist)
10. The book was all about the adventures of three students (and friends), Hari Kumar (the narrator), Ryan Oberoi, and Alok Gupta, who fail to cope with the education system of the IITs. The three hostel-mates - Alok, Hari and Ryan get off to a bad start - they screw up with the system from the first class. And while they try to amend, things only got worse. It takes them a while to realize: If you try and screw with the system, it comes back to double screw you. These three friends who were below average guys among the cream of knowledge. (It was the similar situation for the three of them in the movie)
11. It directly as well as indirectly discusses the grim side of the IIT education system, which is lauded by the elite.(The movie clearly revolved around improving the education system)
12. The name of the movie itself has being derived from the book “You guys are Idiots “(for reference please check page no. 39 of chapter 4 “Line Drawing” the conversation between Ryan, Alok and Hari in the Connaught place restaurant Ryan referred his two friends as IDIOTS and several times on page no 199 Professor Veera referred the three friends as “IDIOTS”).
13. The romantic angle is provided by Hari’s friendship to Neha, the HOD’s daughter. (Now again the definitely the movie has being twisted but with no innovation definitely it had the romantic angle however it was projected between Rancho and Pia.)
14. In the book Hari always wished to be like Ryan, (Even in the movie Farhan admired Rancho and follow him blindly)
15. In the book even after messing up with their grades the two friends landed up with good jobs. (It was similar in the movie)
16. Five Point Someone deals with the simple Hari, the studious Alok and the gallant Ryan. (Even the movie had similar characterization).
17. In case of ragging Rancho was a savior for Farhan and Raju (Similarly Ryan acted as a hero for Hari and Alok by protecting them from Baku)
18. The introduction lines used in the movie was “if you do not study well you won’t get any job, no credit card and no father would like to marry their daughter to us.” ( In the book Chapter 1 page no.11 second last paragraph has the same phrase)
19. Anyways the lifestyle of Rancho was very much similar to Ryan in the movie. Even in the book there was no description of his parents and he was from Mussoorie which is approximately 305 kms i.e. 5 hrs.
20. The description of Raju’s family is exactly the same of Alok in the book. As her mother was the only earning member of the house, his father was not medically fit he had paralysis and was on complete bed rest and his elder sister was almost of marriageable age.(for reference see page no.13 second para chapter no.2)
21. The movie has drawn the character of “Chatur” from “Venkat” (Muggu) in the book.
22. Raju’s father was taken to the emergency in the movie by Rancho (Similar scene in the book, in chapter 3, page no. 33)
23. Again mode of transportation used by three friends in the movie was a two wheeler which was the same in book.
24. Rancho in the movie time and again insisted that none of the IIT students turned out be a scientists or great engineers. He also mentioned invention. (In the book Ryan kept on saying the same thing)
25. Rancho too studied in a boarding school and there he had no links with his parents as he was the son of a servant. Friends were everything for him (Similarly Ryan had no such strong feelings for his parents and studied in a boarding school. Even for him his friends were everything)
26. In the book Neha lost her brother and initially professor thought it to be a train accident which was not and her brother left a note to her which opens a new chapter and reveals the dream of his brother.
27. In the book Alok’s has delivered the same dialogue that half of his mothers salary goes for the medicine for his father and for last five years her mother has not even purchased a single sari and how many sari is reasonable in a year which Ryan had no clue. (Again the same thing was there on the screen)
28. Even Raju leaves his friends Farhan and Rancho shifts with Chatur which is referred as muggu hoping that it would help him to improve his scores.
29. The book also mentions about a student who was more fascinated to arts then studied and wanted to make it as his career but he gave up due to his family which was there in the movie just to remind, Farhan he wanted to be a photographer.
30. In the book Ryan and Alok did not talk for about a year but Ryan always wanted his friend back which he got when he acted like an angle when Alok’s father was serious and even in the movie Rancho would do anything and everything for his friends and their friendship.
31. The Backdrop of the hostel room was also inspired by Ryan’s room especially the description given in the chapter “The Mice Theory” which described Ryan’s arrangement for the party for the reunion of his friends.
32. All the three friends loved to spend time on the roof-top, which was both in the movie as well as the book.
33. In the book when the friends visited Alok’s house the menu was the same and his mother followed the same style of telling her house problem to Alok which all were related to money.
34. Even through Raju’s mother kept on nagging about her household problems, Raju left the food in between but Farhan and Rancho gave a deaf ear and continued eating (which was a part of the book again)
35. Rancho jumped into Pia’s house to propose her the scene is very much picked from the book where Hari crashes in Neha room to wish her birthday.
36. Rancho proposing Pia and the professor Chasing three of them has been directly picked from the book. (Chapter 11, page no.132)
37. In both the cases the girl was excited about her first kiss (Chapter 11, page no. 132)
38. Pia’s drunk scene is from the book
39. Pia’s brothers train accident is from the book.
40. In movie where the three friends are caught drunk in the class by the professor was similar to what Hari did at the time of viva (page no. 154)
41. For Raju’s sister Maruti Car was asked as dowry which was again in the book. (page no. 156)
42. In the movie Rancho got the Professor Office key from Pia (In the book Hari stole the keys from Neha to make duplicate keys. )
43. The question paper stealing scene is from the book (Chapter - Operation Pendulum)
44. Pia’s brother left a suicide note (It’s a complete pick from the book).
45. In the movie Pia’s brother was not interested in an engineering career. This is completely taken from book.
46. Virus commuting by Bicycle is from the book. (page 172)
47. Virus thrashed Rancho after he was caught with the stolen question paper it’s again from the book.
48. The scene where Raju’s jumps from Professor’s room has been picked from the book where Alok had jumped from the institute roof after the disco (chapter 21, page no. 212)
49. Rancho secretly mailed Farhan’s Photography letter (In the book Hari had mailed letter to Ryan’s parent secretly-chapter 25)
50. In the climax of the movie Rancho’s pursuing the career into research is very similar to book where Ryan became a research assistant.
51. The idea of Farhan marrying Raju’s sister is lifted from the book (page no.270)
